Maintenance and lifespan of the cooling pad
The typical lifespan of a cooling pad is 2 to 8 years, depending on the material, water quality, operating duration and maintenance conditions: Plant fiber cooling pad: Generally 2 to 3 years, low cost but prone to scaling and mold, suitable for intermittent use or scenarios with limited budgets;Polymer synthetic/space cross-linked cooling pad (such as 5090/7090 models): With normal maintenance, it can last up to 5 to 8 years, corrosion-resistant, anti-collapse, suitable for industrial or continuous operation environments; The actual lifespan is significantly affected by three factors: water hardness (TDS > 300 ppm can shorten to 8–12 months), daily operating duration (365 days of operation throughout the year vs seasonal use), dust and algae control (lack of cleaning can cause pore blockage and efficiency drop);Key replacement signals: The outlet temperature is > 7°C higher than the environment, obvious odor/mold spots, surface scaling hardens and does not leak when pressed, local collapse or damage, rather than simply relying on the years;Key measures to extend lifespan: Drain and dry for 3 to 5 minutes after daily shutdown, soft water flushing monthly (from top to bottom, ≤ 2 MPa), install pre-filter/soft water device, thoroughly dry and store in winter.
