The 140th Canton Fair Underway in Three Phases, Showcasing New Vitality in Global Trade

GUANGZHOU — Marking its milestone 70th anniversary, the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) officially opened in Guangzhou on October 15, 2026, and will run through November 4. Grounded in the themes of "Innovation, Green Development, and Intelligence," this session features a massive physical exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, bringing together over 30,000 premium enterprises and approximately 340,000 overseas buyers.

To efficiently match global supply with demand, the exhibition is scheduled across three intensive phases:

• Phase 1 (October 15–19) · Advanced Manufacturing: Focused on hard tech and industrial strength. It covered electronics, home appliances, new energy vehicles, industrial automation, and smart mobility. The phase wrapped up successfully, spotlighting a vast array of cutting-edge service robots integrated with AI technology, smart office solutions, and eco-friendly equipment.

• Phase 2 (October 23–27) · Quality Home Decor: Showcasing home aesthetics and consumer goods. This phase will feature building and decorative materials, furniture, household items, gifts, and ceramics, releasing fresh momentum into the consumer market.

• Phase 3 (October 31 – November 4) · Better Life: Centered on health, fashion, and lifestyle consumption. It will display home textiles, garments, bags, food, medicines, medical devices, and pet products, bringing the grand event to a spectacular conclusion.

The trade fair is progressing smoothly with robust momentum. This session also highlights several historical firsts, including the debut of the "Time-honored Brands Zone" and comprehensive coverage of 10 major categories of productive service industries, effectively reinforcing its role as a vital bridge for global supply chains.
